We were at downtown San Fransisco on Saturday March 11th for the St. Patrick’s day parade. Barry McGrath was a honorary grand marshall. It was a day with a drizzle, a spot of rain, then a lot of sun. Lots of pople out there, lots of curious onlookers.
We were able to get some attention along the parade route and at Civic Center, got a lot of fliers in people’s hands, and hope to see some of them out at a practice or learn-to-play session.

It’s exciting to recruit players as we gear up for a campaign this spring to make it to nationals. We also need to develop new players into a winning team for the next few years, so new folks are welcome too and we’ll be making more opportunities to get games (official or not). We are organizing weekly training sessions now (probably Wednesdays?), at Burlingame high school and Treasure Island, but there’s additional small practices that people organize (ex: at Stanford!)
Thanks for reaching out on behalf of the club, and on behalf of any new folks you can introduce to this most thrilling of sports. You might just be introducing someone to a really meaningful part of their life.
