St Patrick’s Cup
St Joe’s put in a valiant effort to compete in the St Patrick’s Cup this year. We were able to field a team consisting almost exclusively of homegrown players and will continue to build on this with more recruitment. Well done to all who participated!

San Diego West Coast Sevens
Our traveling team has returned from our big road trip of the year, the West Coast Sevens in San Diego over the Memorial Day weekend. We played against some strong clubs that could have easily been playing in the next grade above, but due to a lack of mapping in the sevens tournament to USGAA grades, they were in our grade. Regardless, the team battled and displayed the fortitude Joe’s are known for.
It was still a good road trip for the team, and there was great bonding value in it. Next year we’ll play at a grade that’s more suitable to our level so that our newer players get more ball contacts and a better playing experience.

We still have aspirations to get a camogie team started in our club and to increase female participation. If you know any women who want to get involved in the sport, please get them in touch with us and we can connect them to some female players that have already expressed an interest in joining us.
